We ordered bed from modloft. Received bed board 2 coners was cracked. Contacted customer service, modloft told us to buy new bed. They won’t replace the bed board.

6-month Delivery delay. Not reliable company!

I purchased several pieces of furniture from Modloft on November 2017, with the promise that would be delivered before December 20 2017. Part of the furniture only arrived in my place by the end of January 2018, and the sofa was defective. I did not accept the sofa, and went to the showroom in North Miami to speak with the manager and with Theresa (a stupid Brazilian sales person) about the partial delivery and the defective sofa. Theresa aegued with me, giving as a justification that she has several clients who buy millions worth of furniture and never had any problems. From that point onwards, I realized that these people at Modloft are amateurs, and don’t even know the meaning of being professional. Bottom line, I still do not have my bedside tables, that are now supposed to arrive by the end of June 2018. I have 2 friends who previously alerted me regarding this problem with this company... I didn’t listen to them, and it happened to me also. Unfortunately Modloft has a very bad reputation in regards to logistics and delivery. Watch out!!!

The Worst Experience Ever

Modloft is absolutely *** atrocious. The bed my husband ordered for us was months late. Then, their idiot Martin in customer service that we spoke to said we couldn’t pick a specific day to have our bed delivered which made us very upset because it was being delivered to our second residence and we’re not there full time. When we finally got them to agree to deliver the bed to us at a day we picked, they told us they would have it assembled on delivery for all the trouble they caused us. The bed gets delivered and the delivery guys told us it’s not going to be assembled. I had to then call Modloft and explain this to them. They promised to make sure to tell the delivery guys assembly is required. The delivery guys spoke to them, and then told me we are going to be charged for assembly. Modloft is absolutely atrocious. Save your money and yourself a lot of headaches and go elsewhere for a bed frame.

Still Waiting

We ordered two chairs and a Dorset side table in October from one of Modloft’s authorized online retailers, YDesign/YLiving. All were shown as in stock items when we shopped for them, but upon ordering we were told the table was back ordered and should ship about January 26th.

I called on January 30th to inquire about shipment of the table since we had not received any update or shipping confirmation. YDesign also had no updated information, but very helpfully called Modloft to check on it. Modloft told YDesign the table is actually backordered until mid-March. If it actually ships then, it will have taken 5 months for a simple side table that they supposedly keep in stock.

To say Modloft has provided us with poor customer service would be inaccurate — I consider it disservice. The lesson I take away is to shop Modloft at your own risk if you want timely delivery.

They do not care about their customers and are a shady *** trump supporting florida company. I ordered furniture from this company nov 17'.

they explained the furniture would take 2 months to get here and would arrive toward the end of january. now it's the end of january and they are telling me that the furniture won't be available until may 18'. I had to reach out to them - no one contacted me to tell me why my furniture hadn't arrived yet. My rep was ryan tartisel.

*** this company.

I'm really confused how a company like this is even in business. Seriously avoid them.

Still waiting for our Christmas present...

Ordered our bed in early November. It was going to be our early Christmas present to ourselves. I've emailed a three times asking where it is. Haven't even received a reply to the last two. The first email they sent after I ordered was very friendly. I thought, "okay, that's nice". But all I want is our bed. They charged us immediately, of course. To be fair, the customer service representative seems like a nice guy. But I don't care if you're nice, I just want the freaking thing I ordered. I'm running into this kind of thing more and more with online companies. They have great products, but whatever you buy gets lost in the etherverse. We just a couch we ordered three months ago from West Elm. My advice? Buy local. If you can't pick it up that day from the store, "f" it.

3 defective beds delivered. Three days off work to meet delivery men. Several phone calls to Modloft several emails. They left the bed with graffiti on it and said donate it! They then deliver then wrong bed! I ask for refund the mgr says return donated bed. Colossal waste of time and you fight to get a refund! I'll report to Better Business Bureau immediately!

Owners of modloff unethical and cheap!

I used to sell their furniture and they were super cheap! When they sent out damaged furniture they expected us to pay for it!

They never covered the wasted shipping expenses of their furniture out to customers who got damaged merchandise. They were very nice when they started but as they got bigger, they got super cheap and mean and rude and were unethical in their business practices!

I would never ever buy anything from them! They got super upset when I disputed their charges on my credit card and after that I didn't want to do business with them ever again...we did that as a last resort since they refused to take responsibility for order issues!

Do you know where the furniture is made. Is the quality worth the price.

I saw a sectional that I really like but now with all these reviews, I am really skeptical. Do they manufacute the furniture or are they resellers?

I also had issues. Starting out, super nice and claim top quality when truth is the junk they made is from China. Nothing they sell is from Europe.

Should be arrested for making false claims.

I ordered a bed and dresser from modloft, dresser was shown as available until I ordered it and received a phone call saying it's on back order. I accepted it until deleviry of my bed was taking longer than excepted and Modloft customer service gave me the run around about when it'd be delivered and to find out my dresser is not going to ship until the end of the month no longer the mid. Made plans around Modloft to receive my furniture and now I couldn't accept it in a timely manner if I wanted. Extremely disappointed with the professionalism of the company and shipping methods. Didn't get a chance to be disappointed in the furniture. Stay away from this company

I bought the Jane Bed through 2modern.com. I did a thoroughly research before deciding to buy a Modloft product and to order it with 2modern.com. The reviews seemed wonderful and very professional.

Everything went good until the bed gets delivered. I took a day off from work to receive and than mount the bed myself. I was very excited, my old bed was already gone in the morning and around 9 am my Jane Bed was deivered. I could not wait to mount it together.

I start mounting it together when at some point I figure it was missing a very important screw what holds together the exterior corner of the bed. I started sweating and searched in all the boxes and on the bedroom floor. Nothing. So at around 11am friday I contacted Modloft in Miami and 2modern.com customer service to assist me with this huge issue. I was stuck. I sent out picture of the 2nd screw (1 left and 1 right) to facilitate their search for it. Since I was even ready to get one at home depot I was telling them to find out the name for it so I would try to buy one. Until that moment both customer service reps where nice and ready to make it happen, ensuring to get back to me shortly with updates.

That was Friday, March 4 around noon.

Today is Monday , 4 days later, its noon and havent heard back from neither one. I guess their weekend was more important than me having a half mounted bed, no bed where to sleep, a work day totally lost. And am still sleeping on my couch!!

I am very much done with both companies.

I don't call this superior customer service.

Awful service, leadtime, delivery etc...

Placed a simple order of 4 lounge chairs and a coffee table (which at the time showed in stock online) we have been given the run around regarding the delivery with excuses about the items being custom made in Europe etc. Here we are 5 months later, and after inquiring for the umpteenth time, we are now told that the items will ship shortly to NC (25 days of trans Atlantic transit time) and we should receive the items in Chicago possibly by mid August.

Simply ridiculous in this day and age and the awful customer service and response only adds insult to injury.

A simple apology and no offer of any discount or anything, basically that's how it is and you'll get it when you get it. DO NOT BUY A THING FROM THESE RIP OFF ARTISTS!!

Modloft is terrible. No one should ever order from them.

I ordered the Walker desk in June 2015, seven months later it is still a disaster. First they told me it was out of stock and I said I would wait. Two months later they delivered me the wrong piece! They said the one I ordered was still out of stock and I had to wait again.

Two months later they delivered me the wrong piece AGAIN! I was told the one I ordered was still out of stock and I had to wait again. Two months later they finally delivered me the right one and said their delivery company would set it up for me but when they showed up they said they couldn't set it up. And then they took some of the pieces with them when they left!!!!!!

So now I have desk pieces all over my bedroom, and Modloft said they had to reorder me the pieces. Meanwhile I am still paying full price for this item!! How have they not refunded my money just for causing me so much trouble? Worst.

Coffee Table Broken twice

I ordered a coffee table online. Modloft team said delivery will be within 2 weeks but it came 1 month late first time and was Broken! after recall, the team ordered again . This time the table took 2 months to ship .. really a big delay in shipping... the delivery quality sucks .. and guess what ? This time it was BROKEN again !!! i was surprised by the service + their quality on the furniture .. i asked for a money back and i will get that, but still want to let customers know not to do business with the company. you will just loose a lot of time dealing with them and getting back what you wanted the pictures looked great, but in reality the furniture is just completely poor service + lack of quality.

I purchased a media unit from Modloft and what a joke it was! The finishing was really bad and the glass door was cracked. When I called Modloft, I was told to send them pictures but then, they accused me of causing the damage. After a few phone calls, I gave up and went to a local store who helped me replace the glass doors which cost me a few more bucks. The poor finishing I can do nothing about but I preferred not to speak with these people to save myself some trouble and anger. Much better to learn from this experience. DO NOT BUY FROM MODLOFT!

Modloft does not have any European furniture, it is all 100% Chinese, copied from European manufacturers. They also sell to furniture stores who re-sell their products. Buyer beware!
